Former Senators in the World Series
Later tonight around 8:08, the first pitch in the 2024 World Series will be delivered marking the start to another Fall Classic.
Juan Soto or Blake Treinen have the opportunity to do something that hasn’t been accomplished in the Harrisburg Senators’ modern era (post 1987). No matter who comes out victorious in the series, Yankees or Dodgers, a former Harrisburg Senator will have played on the winning team for the second time in his career.
In all, 37 players have played in the World Series after suiting up for the Senators (including three from rehab appearances). Of those, 27 (including 11 from the 2019 Washington Nationals) have appeared in it when their team has won it all. But only once, until this year.
